Introduction

Sky Zone is an indoor trampoline park that encourages a fun way to exercise. Sky Zone offers general admission tickets, as well as birthday party packages, and “skyrobics” which is a fitness class. We have a competitive advantage within our industry due to product and process implementations. One thing unique about Sky Zone is that we were the founders of the technology and industry we operate in; because of this we have learned how to take our initial revolutionary idea and make necessary alterations to the service as the company and industry as a whole evolves.

Information Silos

An information silo is an incident when key information remains isolated in different departments or information systems. Our company uses an information system in the form of software called CenterEdge to prevent the occurrence of an information silo event; this software allows the employees to access the same information. For example, when one employee books a birthday party, they book it using CenterEdge and another employee can then go back to that booking to update any changes at the request of the customer or management personnel. This also provides our employees with a reference to read any sort of specifics for the preparation of the birthday party or private event. CenterEdge is also used for liability waivers. Each customer must sign a waiver before purchasing a ticket, once they fill out a waiver online or on the touch screen kiosk in the park, a Sky Zone employee then can pull up the customer’s waiver using their last name.

Hardware

The main hardware Skyzone uses are touch-screen computers running on Windows OS with Intel Core i5 processors. These computers support our CenterEdge software/database which make them an essential tool in our business operations.

Software
The main software we use is an information system that each and every Sky Zone employee utilizes; this is in the form of a database and it is entitled CenterEdge. This database can be described as the backbone to Sky Zone’s successful business operations due to the fact that it stores essential information from each and every department within Sky Zone. Center Edge is accessed via computer and due to its way of expressing raw numbers in an easy to read fashion, is an easy way for Sky Zone to perform tasks such as deciding which area of the business to market the most, to analyze month to month sales, and event planning.

Data

Data, in particular customer data is very important to SkyZone. We not only focus on volume of entrants/participants within the specific aspects of our business, but keep track of the customer liability contracts should any legal action on either party occur. We ensure that all customer data is included on a secure database that only specific managerial personnel can access. It is at the customers discression to share their information with SkyZone; but be forewared that it is essential that the liability forms be filled out completely to participate in any of our services.

Procedures

Because Sky Zone is a service oriented business the first thing that must be done is getting the word out to our potential customers. Once this is accomplished via our marketing efforts or word-of-mouth the customer will then acquire more information on the services we offer and our locations. This information can be found on our website or by calling the store directly. If the customer would like to schedule an event such as a birthday party, they will be going through one of our event coordinators (who's job consists of the planning, booking, and safe operations of the event). It is also the job of the event coordinators to give a tour of the desired event space to the potential customer. If you do not wish to have a private party or reserved time, you can come in during our "free" (non-reserved) hours for a truly unique one-of-a-kind experience. Customers will have to fill out a liability form before they can partake in our services. Minors will need consent to participate from a parent/guardian and under no circumstance will they be able to participate without this consent.
